A shared asset library built into the CX Enterprise interface. It stores images, documents, video and audio with their renditions, gives users a browser-based interface to organise, search, lightly edit and annotate them, and exposes an embedded picker that Target, Advertising and Campaign use to place assets. Folders can be shared with Creative Cloud users. It is a separate, much smaller repository than Adobe Experience Manager Assets.

Central storage for marketing-ready assets shared across CX Enterprise applications. An asset can be an image, document, video or audio file, can carry several renditions, and can contain sub-assets such as Photoshop layers, PowerPoint slides, PDF pages or files inside a ZIP.

Folders that organise the library. Folders and their contents can be copied, moved, downloaded or deleted; deleting a folder with many images runs in the background, and images still referenced by a Target activity are kept.

Sharing CX Enterprise asset folders with approved Creative Cloud users, who accept the share in Creative Cloud desktop or the Creative Cloud Files web page and can then add, change and comment on the assets. The shared folder must originate in CX Enterprise.

A former option to synchronise Experience Manager Assets into the shared library so the assets appeared in the CX Enterprise picker. It has been removed from AEM 6.5 and from AEM as a Cloud Service without a named replacement; separately, Campaign v8 can insert assets from an AEM Assets library directly.
